Toots & Trots is a free, independent, informational tool that estimates how gentle foods and meals are likely to be on a sensitive gut, using the GASP scoring method. The scores are modelled estimates and our considered opinion — not clinical measurements, and not personalised to your medical situation.

This is the most important term. Toots & Trots does not provide medical advice and using it does not create any clinician–patient relationship. Nothing here is a diagnosis, treatment, or a substitute for advice from a doctor, dietitian or other qualified professional. Always seek their guidance for your own situation, and never delay or disregard it because of something you read here. Please read our full Disclaimer, which forms part of these terms.

We label common allergens from generic food data, but we cannot guarantee any real product is free of an allergen — the product label and your medical advice are the authority. We are not a food-safety service. You are responsible for preparing and storing food safely.

Some content and recipe images on this site are generated with AI tools and then reviewed by a person. We aim for accuracy but this content may contain errors or imperfections, and recipes describe generic foods rather than specific branded products. Use your own judgement.

You agree not to:

• use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of these terms;
• scrape, bulk-download, resell or redistribute our scores, data or content without our written permission;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer or gain unauthorised access to the site or its systems;
• submit content that is unlawful, misleading, harmful or infringes someone else's rights.

If you send us suggestions, submissions, reviews or other content, you confirm you have the right to do so, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it to operate and improve Toots & Trots. We may edit, publish or decline it at our discretion.

The scores, text, design and other materials on Toots & Trotsbelong to us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the site for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don't copy or republish substantial parts of it without our permission.

We sometimes link to third-party websites and resources for your convenience. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content or practices.

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we don't warrant that the scores or content are accurate, complete, current or fit for any particular purpose, or that the site will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Toots & Trots and the people behind it are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its scores — including any health, dietary or financial outcome.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
